gyoZ, there is an easier way to do that. Ctrl-A to select your entire iTunes library, and set all of them as "Part of a Compilation". This should group multiple artists together by itself, but if not, there is a "Group Compilations" setting somewhere that allows you to do this.

This is exactly the answer I was looking for.

I have albums with an Album Artist but different Artists for each song. iTunes would order them alphabetically by Artist within each Album instead of the Track Number. I didn't know that iTunes orders albums based on the sequence you sorted them. Thanks!

Hi.
Another way of doing it is to First Select all your iTunes music library (Ctrl+A), then Select Info by right clicking. Now under Info Tab insert values Disc Number 1 of 0... this will take some time according to the size of music collection. Once completed all you have to do is Add a column in itunes Library "Disc Number". Just click on this new tab and it shall sort the Tracks in correct order. Good luck!

I tried to get Mika's 'The Boy Who Knew Too Much' to work (it goes 6, 11, then the rest is correct), but Apple, in their retardation haven't put in something as blatantly obviously needed in a media player as a move song up/move song down function. Therefore I'm stuck with this seeing as they got rid of the #Track sort whichever version they thought it would be a good idea to make this even more impossible to do.

I stumbled here while searching for a fix for another iTunes problem but I think I have a fix for yours.

Right click on the section that says name, artist, track # ect
Add album if it isn't there already. Click album until it says album by year.
By doing that it should sort by artist name, then album by what year it was made and your tracks should be listed in proper order.

I thought I had it... unfortunately iTunes is a piece of shit, maybe in version 12 they introduce something as obvious as LATEST ALBUMS with proper track sorting. I was about to add timestamp to a /Grouping/ field when adding a new album, but when I try to sort in descending order... track numbers get sorted descending too. I truly, deeply hate Apple.
